We met during the summer of 2000.  We were working together and did for the next few summers.  During the beginning of 2002 Holly began working full time in the office and seeing more and more of Marc.  We quickly became good friends, spending our lunch breaks together and spending more and more time together.  We started hanging out outside of work, whether it was stopping by his apartment for a beer (or Marc bringing Holly to meet an ENTIRE apartment full of his friends!...that was fun!!) or heading out to work "functions" together.   At this point in time the rumors started flying around our tiny office, but we denied anything going on, nothing was.  We just laughed at the rumors.  We were just hanging out having a wonderful time.  We both felt we were building a great friendship. 

Marc took Holly on their first "date" (which was not a date at that point :) to see Star Wars, followed by some shopping at the mall!!  (And we shopped!! For those of you who know Marc, this is HUGE!!!)  We still laughed at all the rumors, trying to figure out why it was so hard for everyone to understand "just friends"!

We bought tickets to a Police Memorial Fundraiser on the Spirit of Boston, July 30, 2002.  We decided to head in together and meet up with some co-workers, we knew it would be a blast, and who would pass up a nice booze cruise?! :).  The night started out great, we had a few drinks with some friends, mingled with a few VIP's (Holly even told one off that night, in what she considers one of her proudest moments!!  Thanks to a little encouragement from Marc!)

We went to head toward the back of the boat to meet up with a few of our friends.  We got there in time to watch the water show from the fire boat and take in a beautiful sunset!  That was where we shared our first kiss!
